An 18-wheeler attempting to cross the tracks at the intersection of South and Holly Street became lodged on the rail road tracks as he attempted to cross around 10 a.m. on Friday.
According to railroad personnel, rail work is being done in the area so no trains were on the tracks at the time of the incident.
The driver stated, “I attempted to cross that intersection due to the main crossing being blocked and is how I became stuck.”
Gilbeaux’s towing personnel quickly responded to the scene and removed the truck from the tracks.
Another 18-wheeler was stuck on the tracks Wednesday on Church Street and Rebeck Crossing at Bob Hall Road.
An 18-wheeler attempting to cross the railroad tracks at Monday morning, October 14, at North Lutcher Drive and Bob Hall in Orange stopped for a red light when it was struck by an oncoming freight train.
