Man dies in fatal wreck on Interstate 10 in Orange

PRESS RELEASE – On August 26, 2019, at approximately 9:15p.m., the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a wrong way driver on Interstate 10, near Adams Bayou, in Orange County.
The preliminary DPS crash investigation indicates that a 2019 Hyundai passenger vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound traffic lanes of Interstate 10. The vehicle struck a concrete wall and was engulfed in flames.
The driver, 40-year-old Aaron Wolfe of Beaumont, was pronounced deceased by a local Justice of the Peace at the scene.
This is an ongoing crash investigation as Troopers work to determine the exact factors that contributed to this fatal crash.
There are no additional details to be released.
