PRESS RELEASE —

We didn’t get much of Barry here in Newton County. Poor Louisiana can’t say the same. Mother Nature can be bad at times. Let’s see what’s been going on.

United Pentecostal church in Deweyville got broken into last week. Team work got it solved. Orange Police officers (Howard Foreman and Howard Devault) and our deputy Chris Berry got it solved and stolen property returned. Great Job Guys. Warrants being issued. Takes a snake to break into a church. Thief will be in our jail soon.

If you saw a helicopter flying low over your neighborhood Friday, it was us. We spent lots of time Friday looking for a dope field. Thanks to all involved.

There was a tragic car wreck over the weekend. Please remember the Mercedes McMahon Laney family in your prayers. So tragic.

More Social Security scams. Please just hang up on these things. Don’t give them any information. Again, just hang up.

We received a call from Sherry Bossier over the weekend. She said that her 75lb Sloth Tortoise went missing from CR 3034. If anyone runs across him let us know.

Gotta go: Thought for the week. Give it to God, roll over and go to sleep. Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help, just holler. God Bless
