A man had to be treated for a gunshot wound to the foot after a large disturbance on Sunday at the Texas Food Store located at 305 Burton Street in Orange.

Officer Grant McLean was dispatched to the store in reference to a large disturbance and shots fired around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. Upon the officer’s arrival, he observed evidence that there was a disturbance prior to his arrival.

A maroon Lincoln Town Car was found in the parking lot of the store with a shattered back glass that occurred during the incident in which a individual had fired several shots. Several bullet shells were also found and collected by the officers as evidence.

According to information obtained from Orange Police Detective Captain Robert Enmon, they were contacted by the Medical Center Of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur for an individual with a gunshot wound to the foot.

Officers made contact with the victim but he is not cooperating with officers during the investigation. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting  and it is not clear if he has been released from the hospital.

Detectives search for surveillance video throughout the nearby area but no one would cooperate with police.

At this time police have no suspects or no further information on the case.
