On Saturday July 8 2017, Bridge City Fire and Police Department received a call at 3:18 p.m. in reference to a lawnmower accident in the 200 block of Hebert Street in Bridge City.

Upon officers arrival they found a male victim trapped underneath a lawn mower and rescue efforts by fire officials were giving to try the free the man however they were unsuccessful the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and the case remains under investigation.
