An initial report of credit card abuse at CASA has turned into a theft of over $40,000 in fraudulent charges on a credit card by an as yet unnamed person.

Captain Robert Enmon of the Orange Police Department confirmed on Monday the amount and the charges were made over a two year period since mid 2014.

CASA for the Sabine Neches Region President Johnny Trahan and Vice President Kim Dickerson filed a complaint last Tuesday concerning credit card abuse, stating a known female used a credit card without approval or consent to steal money from the foundation.

“CASA of the Sabine Neches Region is currently working with the Orange Police Department regarding a financial matter,” CASA Board said in a statement released Friday. “As this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide further comments at the current time.”
