AUSTIN, Texas—The Texas Historical Commission’s (THC) Texas Main Street Program celebrates its 35th anniversary this year. What began with four cities in 1981 now includes 87 certified cities across Texas. To celebrate the milestone, the THC is hosting a sweepstakes with a prize package offering a weekend getaway to a Main Street city.

Entries are being accepted until August 31 to win a trip for two to Seguin. The package includes lodging for two nights at the Park Plaza Hotel Seguin, an elegant 1917 historic building that recently reopened after an extensive renovation. The package also features gift certificates to local restaurants and activities such as a tour of the Sebastopol House, an 1856 Greek Revival mansion and designated historic landmark.
