BEAUMONT – Del Papa Distributing Company presented a $2,000 donation to the Boy Scouts of America Three Rivers Council on June 7, 2016 in support of the organization’s annual Friends of Scouting Campaign.

Friends of Scouting is an annual campaign where the Three Rivers Council asks Scouting families, businesses and civic-minded citizens to support their mission of providing the Scouting program to Scouts along the Texas Gulf Coast. All funds generated as a result of the campaign stay local and support youth in the region.

The Friends of Scouting Campaign is exceedingly important, as it provides a significant percentage of the funding needed to operate the Three Rivers Council’s Scouting camps, programs, and facilities for a full calendar year. This campaign makes a huge difference in the number of young people impacted by the valuable services provided by this organization.

 

The Three Rivers Council each year delivers incredible benefits which include camping and training facilities in “outdoor classrooms” where Scouts have fun, learn leadership skills and develop into better young men and women. Funds donated through this campaign not only help provide services, create new projects and update camp properties, but also provides Scout Assistance to youth in need.

 

Del Papa is proud to support the Three Rivers of America Bay Area Council and their mission to build character, teach the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develop personal fitness in Beaumont-area youth.
