TEXAS AUTHORS INSPIRING YOUNG READERS AT DEAR TEXAS 2016

On the 16th day of April 2016, Texans will wake up to embrace the celebration of the second edition of “DEAR Texas” which is the most magnificent event in the history of Modern Texas State. A group of Texans gifted, inspiring and innovative authors and educationists, who believe in good education and teaches that it can only be attained primarily through effective reading and writing, will gather together with their experiences and expertise to sensitize and mobilize young Texans and create in them the renewed zeal towards reading and writing.
DEAR Texas which means “Drop Everything And Read” is a State wide event that brings Texan authors and readers together. It is meant for celebration and creation in the memories of the people the consciousness that a strong and great nation depends on the aptitude and the ability of its people to read and write.
DEAR Texas is organized with the dictate to encourage the younger generations and people of all ages to read more and re-discover the great and exciting sensation associated with learning new things through reading. And this has been the motivating force of the organization and it has yielded numerous fruits since inception.
The second edition of its annual celebration will be held on the 16th and 17th of April, 2016. This forum creates room for authors to stand before the audience and introduce their books and in the process raise funds for the organizations literacy programs.
