The National Hurricane Center is monitoring the southern gulf/Bay of Campeche for tropical development through the next several days.

At this time, there is a great deal of uncertainty on the eventual solution; however, it does appear that increased rain chances, higher than normal tides and breezy conditions are possible for the local area late in the weekend into early next week.

According to the National Weather Service, for the latest tropical weather outlooks, which are updated at 8 a.m., 2 p.m., 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., follow along at the NHC’s webpage at nhc.noaa.gov.
