West Orange Police announce arrest, confiscation of high grade marijuana

WEST ORANGE — Residents complaints led to the arrest of a local man on marijuana-related charges this week, authorities said.

At approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday, West Orange Police Department officers, along with investigators with the City of Orange Police Department, conducted a search of a home in the 2200 block of Bonnie Street in West Orange.

Police said approximately five and a half pounds of high-grade marijuana, along with THC vape pens and a quantity of THC wax, were discovered, according to information from West Orange PD.

A male resident, identified as David McKnight, was arrested and charged with 3rd degree felony possession of marijuana and booked in to the Orange County Jail.

A third-degree felony is punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

The search and arrest were the result of resident complaints and an investigation by the West Orange and Orange Police narcotics divisions, authorities said.
