Oil spill in Cow Bayou; environmental crews responding

ORANGEFIELD — Due to an oil spill in Cow Bayou at Texas 105 in Orangefield, there are containment booms and environmental crews working in the area.

The impacted zone is approximately 2,500 feet downstream from Texas 105, according to information from the Orange County Office f Emergency Management.

At this time, Cow Bayou is closed in that area from the boom location to upstream, including the boat ramp at Texas 105.
