Crack cocaine sales in Orange led to a search and arrest this week, authorities said.

The Orange Police Department Narcotics Division announced it executed a search warrant Wednesday in the 300 block of Knox Avenue.

The search follows an investigation into the illegal distribution of crack cocaine within the City of Orange, according to Sgt. Isaac Henry III.

During the search, 40-year-old Dennis Bowie was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance after more than 50 grams of crack cocaine was located and seized, Henry said in a release.

Orange Police encouraged those in the community to report criminal activity anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers of SETX at 409-833-TIPS or 833TIPS.com.

Henry also thanked the West Orange Police Department, Orange County Precinct Two Constable Jeremiah Gunter and Orange County Precinct One Constable Lannie Claybar for providing assistance.
