Local students get to work with pipe spreader they built

ORANGEFIELD — Donovan Weldon, former Orangefield Independent School District school board member, special-ordered a pipe spreader for his excavator from the Orangefield High School Welding Shop.
According to district officials, Weldon felt you can’t sell something that has not been tested.
Students Ethan Welch and Brayden McGee, who built the spreader, had the opportunity to try it out in Weldon’s yard before handing it over.
“Thank you, Mr. Weldon, for the opportunity,” the district shared.
