No arrests have been made after a teen crashed a stolen car into a home April 2, authorities told Orange Newsmedia this week.

It is unknown if the juvenile suspect driver, who reportedly left the car running when he fled on foot, has been identified.

Orange Police Sergeant Isaac Henry III declined to comment on the question, saying this is an active case that is being investigated.

The scenario began when a female victim stopped by a family member’s home and left a 2020 Toyota Camry running when she ran inside. She noticed the headlights of her vehicle start moving and ran back outside.

The victim told police she began to chase the car in another vehicle and saw it crash into a home in the 2300 block of Bolton Road at approximately 8:50 p.m.

The woman reportedly saw an unknown juvenile exit the car and take off running.

The car and the home suffered extensive damage, Henry said.

Police are not releasing any further information on the case at this time.

If anyone has any information about this crime, call the Orange Police Department at 409-883-1095 or Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers at 409-833-TIPS.
