There was a lot to celebrate recently when leaders, partners and volunteers gathered for the United Way of Orange County Annual Report Banquet.
Hosted at the Gillespie Building of First Presbyterian Church in Orange, success in action took center stage.
United Way President and CEO Maureen McAllister and Board Chairwoman Erin Nichols helped share the good news.
20 partner agencies provide direct services to the community, which organizers describe as the “boots on the ground.”
United Way secured more than $1 million in donations in 2023, a first for the organization since 2007.
None of the impact would be possible without the volunteers, which in 2023 included 433 people volunteering a total of 2,161 man hours.
