Severe weather forecast on Monday and Tuesday for Southeast Texas detailed

There is a Marginal Risk for severe weather on Monday and Tuesday for Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana, according to weather watchers.

A release from the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, La., stated the main threats would be damaging winds and large hail.

There is also a Marginal Risk (1/4) for flash flooding on Monday in Southeast Texas and central and Southwest Louisiana.

Forecasted rainfall amounts from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning.

A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect. Visibilities will be reduced less than ΒΌ mile at times.

Travel may be difficult due to low visibility.

There may also be sudden changes in visibility. The low visibility will limit your reaction time.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop during Monday afternoon and continue into Tuesday morning. Some of the storms will become strong with the potential to produce high rainfall rates in a short period of time.

Total average rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are forecast with locally higher amounts possible. Rainfall amounts have been trending higher.
