Excessive rainfall possible across Southeast Texas to start the week

Monday is expected to be a day of bad weather for Southeast Texas.

A slight risk for all modes of severe weather Monday afternoon through Monday night are possible, according to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

A moderate risk for excessive rainfall across south central Louisiana, with a flood watch in effect for this area.

A slight risk for excessive rainfall across the rest of southwest Louisiana and a marginal risk across Southeast Texas.

Very windy conditions are expected on Monday ahead of the front and again on Tuesday after the front passes.

Hazardous marine conditions are expected with strong and gusty winds and steep and very rough seas.
