Neches Federal Credit Union announced that it raised $13,559.76 for the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Foundation.

The money was raised throughout the year by fundraiser-generated donations, including bake sales, miracle jean days and icon campaigns.

In addition to these annual fundraisers, Neches partnered with The Golden Cup of Nederland to “Make Miracles Brew” during NICU Awareness Month by selling special blends of coffee at all branches.

In addition to these monetary contributions, Neches served on the 2023 CMN allocation committee and the judges panel for the 26th Annual Christmas Tree Contest benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in Southeast Texas.

Through a collaboration with Credit Unions for Kids, all proceeds go directly to the NICU and Pediatric Unit at CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System.

Neches Federal Credit Union partnered with Compassion Hospice to collect new blankets to donate to area seniors and the homeless in need. Neches FCU collected 200 blankets to donate to the Warm Winter Wishes Blanket Drive — organized by Compassion Hospice’s Paula Baxter, community educator.

Compassion Hospice provides compassionate comfort and care to patients in Southeast Texas.

Neches Federal Credit Union participated in The Salvation Army Angel Tree program by adopting more than 80 Angels to gift this holiday season. These Angels were distributed throughout our Neches FCU branches and were adopted by members and employees.

Recognizing that every child deserves to feel the joy of Christmas, The Salvation Army Angel Tree program provides new clothing and toys to children and families in need each year. Because of members, employees and The Salvation Army of Port Arthur and Beaumont, Neches FCU was able to complete 83 Christmas wish lists.

The donations were made possible due to the passionate contributions of Neches FCU members, employees and the support from CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Foundation, Compassion Hospice and Salvation Army.
