Weather Service forecasts heavy rain chances for Christmas Eve and Christmas

Rain chances are increasing throughout today and night in Orange County, according to weather watchers.
One to three inches of rain is likely across Southeast Texas and portions of Louisiana over Christmas weekend. (Courtesy of the National Weather Service)
The National Weather Service those elevated rain chances will remain through Christmas morning.
“However, the bulk of the rain will be during Christmas Eve,” meteorologist Andy Tingler. “There is a slight risk of excessive rainfall across the region Sunday.”
1 – 3 inches of rain is forecast during the period.
The risk for any severe weather still appears minimal at this time.
