ROSE CITY — The Texas Department of Transportation announced speed limit changes expected to take effect in Orange County and Jefferson County.

The speed limit along Interstate 10 from the Old U.S. 90 exit to 450’ west of the Rose City city limits is being lowered from 75 mph to 70 mph.

The change is set to take place Dec. 18.

In Jefferson County, the speed limit along SH 347 from U.S. 69 to the Dupont Plant will be lowered from 70 mph to 65 mph on Dec. 18.

The speed limit along U.S. 69 from the U.S. 69/SH 347 split to SH 73 is being lowered from 75 mph to 70 mph on Dec. 19.
