Orange County fire leaves home with major damage

VIDOR — An Orange County home suffered major damage in a Sunday morning house fire, authorities said.

Orange County Emergency Services District No. 1 was called at approximately 12:03 a.m. Sunday to a structure fire in the 800 block of Cherry near Vidor.

When responders arrived, the single story wood frame home had heavy smoke and flames showing, according to a news release from ESD No. 1.

Fire crews used two 1.75-inch hose lines to extinguish and overhaul the structure.

The house suffered major damage.

No injuries were reported during the firefighting operation.

ESD No. 4 assisted ESD No. 1.

The cause of the fire is listed as undetermined.
