Trendz Designs Florist and Gift Boutique celebrates ribbon cutting in Orange

Amie Smith was in industrial sales when a retail opportunity made the most sense for a change.
So it was Thursday afternoon that she celebrated a ribbon cutting at Trendz Designs Florist and Gift Boutique in Orange.
As the new owner of the 103 Strickland Drive location, she can now be closer to family and be closer to home following her passion.
The previous owner retired and sold the business to Smith.
The Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce and Bridge City Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate this week’s ribbon cutting.
The boutique sells clothes and accessories, while working as a full service florist that can handle weddings, funerals, special occasions and Christmas decorating and design needs.
Trendz Designs Florist and Gift Boutique is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and closed Sundays.
Smith said there are special holiday hours right now of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
