At about 7:18 p.m. Thursday, City of Orange Police Department officers were dispatched to McDonald’s in reference to a shooting.

During the officers’ initial investigation at 1710 16th St., a male was located with several gunshot wounds.

Lt. Stephen Ward said the victim was taken to a local emergency room and was currently listed in critical condition as of Thursday night.

The name of this individual will not be released at this time, police said.

The City of Orange Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the shooting.
