Experience the rhythmic spectacle that has enthralled audiences worldwide as STOMP hits the stage at the Lutcher Theater for performances Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.
“STOMP, the international percussion sensation, will captivate theatergoers with its explosive blend of music, dance and theatrical performance. This production transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, using everyday objects as percussion instruments,” said Lynae Sanford, executive director of the Lutcher Theater.
Stomp, a unique performance group, ignites the stage with creativity by using broomsticks, pots, pans, garbage cans and even kitchen sinks to create sound and movement.
The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured with the addition of two new full-scale routines, utilizing props like tractor tire inner tubes and paint cans.
“We are thrilled to bring this popular production to Southeast Texas, offering an unforgettable experience for all ages,” Sanford said.
STOMP is a show unlike any other, bringing unparalleled energy and creativity through performance art.
To lend a helping hand to the community during the holiday season, the Lutcher will be collecting new blankets and pajamas in support of the Salvation Army of Orange, as well as collecting food to help STOMP out hunger.
Bring non-perishable food items to STOMP or drop off at Dow Business Center, First Financial locations or Free State Cellars.
Tickets for STOMP range in price from $35 to $60 and can be purchased online at lutcher.org or through the theater’s box office at 409-886-5535.
The Lutcher Theater is located at 707 Main Avenue in Orange.
