Orange County officials have made a decision on local burning.

Judge John Gothia announced he is instituting a burn ban effective immediately.

Gothia cited “continued drought conditions” being experienced in the area as reason for the ban.

“We will update as conditions warrant,” a 9:31 a.m. Friday statement read.
