Bridge City Superintendent Todd Lintzen was finally able to properly recognize Jamie Quarles in person after Quarles was named BCHS Teacher of the Year last spring at a meeting Monday morning.

Bridge City ISD administrators and teachers were back to work Monday as everyone reported in for the first day.

BCISD also presented stipend checks to returning employees, which is something the district does every year as a small thanks for their dedication to the district and hard work.

The students that attend BCISD will be able to return to “the nest” Monday, Aug. 3 as Bridge City is one of the first few schools across the state that will be starting that early.
