Mustangs ranked No. 3 in Texas Football 4A D-2 poll

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Magazine came out with their Class 4A Division II state football poll Monday and the West Orange-Stark Mustangs chimed in at No. 3.

The Mustangs are on the quest of winning their 11th straight district title this season and a 10th straight trip to the Class 4A Division II Region III Finals and possibly beyond.

The other Southeast Texas team in the poll are the Silsbee Tigers, who are ranked No. 8.

WO-S has defeated Silsbee the last two seasons to win its district but the Tigers have defeated the Mustangs in the last two 4A Division II Region III Finals.

The Texas Football top 10 includes 1. Carthage; 2. Pleasant Grove; 3. WO-S; 4. Wimberley; 5. Gilmer; 6. Celina; 7. Sunnyvale; 8. Silsbee; 9. Navarro; 10. Graham.
