Orange County golfers capture prestigious Zaharias Junior Golf Awards

BEAUMONT – It was a tremendous night for Orange County high school golfers as they racked up at the 11th annual Babe Zaharias Junior Golf Awards Banquet Wednesday night at the 5 Under Golf Center.
The awards recognize the best high school golfers in the Southeast Texas area for their play and leadership skills on the course.
For the second straight season, Little Cypress-Mauriceville’s Jack Burke, the Class 4A state champion in 2019, was named Boys Player of the Year.
Their were Co-Winners for the Girls Player of the Year as it was shared by LC-M Lady Bear Montana Dileo and Hardin-Jefferson’s Elizabeth Townsend.
Orangefield’s Peyton Beebe captured the Girls Leadership Award while LC-M’s Mason Sterling received the Boys Leadership Award.
