PRESS RELEASE — This is going to be a short and non-Billy Rowles Sheriff’s report. Very busy this Monday morning.

We worked a very complicated homicide over the weekend. Feud between some young people lead to shots fired, and a man being run over and killed. One side saying murder and on saying self-defense. To complicate things even more, which County (Jasper or Newton) did the death take place in. Sheriff Newman’s office and we are going to figure it out.

We recovered a stolen vehicle in the Deweyville area. Good job Deputy Franklin. By the way, please pray for Deputy Franklin’s family as he lost his mom over the weekend.
