NWS Lake Charles tropical weather update: 10:25 a.m. Tue. 6.2.20
Tropical Depression 3 is remaining over the Bay of Campeche and will continue to do so for the next couple of days. The latest forecast is for the system to move into the southwest Gulf late this week as a tropical storm. There’s still a lot of uncertainty, especially for this weekend with the track and intensity. Please be prepared and stay up to date with the latest forecasts.
Regardless of what happens with TD3, we are expecting high rain chances this weekend and early next week. Locally heavy rain may occur with significant amounts possible. Higher than normal tides are expected as well.
