Pinehurst Fire Department to honor Seniors of 2020 with parade

Pinehurst Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a parade to honor all Seniors of 2020. This Senior Parade will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30.

The parade will begin at Pinehurst City Hall on MLK, go down Strickland Drive to MacArthur, turn left on MacArthur and proceed down to Big Lots parking lot where it will turn around and backtrack the same route returning to Pinehurst City Hall and Fire Department.

In honoring the Seniors, one male and one female senior from each school in Orange County will be on a fire apparatus from surrounding fire departments. The departments include Pinehurst Fire Department, West Orange Fire, Little Cypress ESD3 and ESD4, Bridge City Fire, and Vidor Fire Department.

The schools include Orangefield, West Orange, Little Cypress, Community Christian, Bridge City and Vidor High School.

Spectators will be able to park in the bigger parking lot areas, such as Big Lots, Baptist Hospital, and the old Conn’s parking lot. As this takes place, remember to practice social distancing and be respectful of small businesses that will be open in the area.
