A special group of amazing volunteers, sparked by Olivia Revis, have made sure that the West Orange-Stark Senior Class of 2020 is represented throughout Orange as every senior has their own graduation sign lined up on 16th Street from EZ Pawn all the way down to The Hut.
Revis, mother of WO-S senior Gabby Tims and Bridge City senior Jackson Tims, was the chief organizer and worked hard, with many others, to get the nice project completed.
Also, 2020 grads also could get signs for their yards at home.
“We talked to business people along the street and they were so happy to be able to display the kids in front of their businesses,” said Revis. “It was a fun project, the kids deserve it.”
So many people were involved and Revis is very gracious for the efforts everyone put forth.
“Thank you so much to the parents and volunteers and to the seniors that came out and helped,” said Revis. “It could not have been done with out all of you.”
The group was also busy two weekends ago at Revis’ home in getting some senior pictures from kids that were unable to take theirs on senior portrait day so they could rush to get in their photos for the signs.
Seniors that helped with the signs and posted them on 16th Street included Nicholas Provost, Cedric Declouet, Quincy Ledet, JaTaylein Vital, Cobey Sonnier, Shamiya Scott, Shemar Manaway, Keshawn Jackson and Jackson Tims.
