May 1 is National Lunch Hero Day! Today, Little Cypress Elementary celebrated their wonderful ladies who go above and beyond for the children of LCE.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville District is grateful to have people like these throughout the District, who love children and work to provide meals for them, even when the students can’t be in school. According to Suzanne Magee, Director of Child Nutrition, our cafeteria personnel, with the help of transportation staff and other volunteers, feed approximately 1,250 students two meals a day. This is close to 40% of the student population.
