Positive Highlights: Battle the corona weight while staying healthy

Now I know there are some of you that may have been complaining about that “Corona weight”.  But this is the question, “are you eating because you are hungry or because you are bored?”  It is normal for some to eat out of boredom, but it has its consequences too.

When you do this, you will find yourself gaining extra pounds you did not want to gain.  So remember, use this time to find other ways to stay busy and find alternatives to be healthy.

During this quarantine you can do exercises with your family, try different foods that are good for you, read better ways to take care of your body etc.  This should be a time for you to reflect and get things you think would not have time for to get accomplished health wise.

When you find yourself wanting to snack just because, read a book, do a hobby you enjoy or even just walk outside.  Do not eat because there is food in the house and you are bored.  You are only bored if you think you are bored.  Being bored starts with your mindset first, which leads to laziness and overeating.

During this pandemic, a lot of people are being affected because of bad health.  The obesity rate among Americans is extremely high (in both adults and children) and the proportions we eat are way too much.  Now is the time to really take control of high blood-pressure, diabetes, heart disease, hyper-tension etc. by changing the way we eat and implementing exercise in our daily routines.

Yes, we are all being affected by COVID-19, but COVID-19 does not have to take control of us.  Everyone please continue to stay in prayer and take your HEALTH BACK! Be healthy and stay safe!!
