Orange City Council met via teleconference on Thursday evening to discuss extending the Mayoral Declaration of Local Disaster due to public health emergency providing for severability; and providing a penalty.

Council agreed to continue the declaration which includes social distancing.

Council member Terry Salter asked about what one could do if they saw people not complying with the order.

“I have had calls of concern because people are not complying with the order,” Salter said. “People are not taking this serious.”

It was suggested to call the non emergency number for the police department.
