BRIDGE CITY – The LC-M Lady Bears dropped a pair of tight games at the Bridge City Tournament Friday.

They fell to Lumberton 5-4 in their first game of the day, despite home runs from Payten Smith and Megan Peveto. The Lady Bears also gave up a pair of home runs and had a pair of errors that hurt.

They also dropped a tight 2-1 decision to PN-G. The Lady Bears had two runners on in the bottom of the seventh with two outs. LC-M’s Madeline Stephenson was at the plate and had a two-ball, one-strike count on her but the game was called due to the time limit restrictions as the officials would not let the batter finish.

The Bridge City Lady Cardinals also fell to Lumberton, losing 6-4.
