Lady Bobcats steamroll to two wins at WO-S tourney

WEST ORANGE – The Orangefield Lady Bobcats won two games to open the West Orange-Stark Tournament, defeating Deweyville 14-0 and Vidor 11-1.

Game 1:

Ryden Stanfield went 1 for 3 with with an RBI and a run scored. Codie Sorge had a hit with an RBI. Emma Humplik went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Tiffany Ciancaglione had a hit and 2 runs scored. Heather Mineer had a hit with an RBI and a run scored. Olivia Grant went 3 for 3 with 2 doubles, 3 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Hannah Dupuis had a single with 2 runs scored.

Codie Sorge got the win on the mound giving up just 1 hit with 5 strikeouts in the 3 inning run-rule.

Codie Sorge got her second win of the day giving up 3 hits in 4 innings with 5 strikeouts.

The Lady Bobcats improve their overall record to 14-2 and face Lufkin tomorrow in the WO-S tournament at 10:30am.
