CAMERON – The Bridge City Cardinals downed Cameron Yoe 11-3 in their first game at the Cameron Yoe Tournament Thursday.

The Cardinals (7-0-1) pounded out 14 hits against Yoe pitching.

The Cardinals big inning came in the second frame when they tailed six runs and then they had a four-run inning in the sixth.

Sam Carpenter had three hits for the Cardinals while Tanner Wilson and Logan Hamm had two hits.

Carpenter and Benoit led the Cardinals with two runs batted in apiece.

Slade Forman and Jaxon Luna pitched for the Cardinals as they scattered six hits and combined for four strikeouts.
