SWEENY – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears snagged a nice come-from-behind 3-2 win over Rockport Thursday morning.

The Lady Bears were down 2-0 going into the fifth frame.

With the Lady Bears batting with one out, Savanna Beard hot hit by a pitch and Lakin Adkins put down an excellent bunt to reach first safely and Madeline Stephenson followed with an infield hit that loaded the bases.

Olivia Leavings then drew a walk to send one run home to get the Lady Bears to within one.

Bailey Frenzel then came up with the game-winning hit, a two-run double on a 1-2 pitch to send the Lady Bears to victory as the time limit then expired.
