The Bridge City Lady Cardinals lost a tough match against the LC-M Lady Bears on Friday 1-0.

Both teams struggled to find the back of the net early on, but the Lady Bears eventually scored late in the first half due to a Cardinal error on defense.

Lady Bear McKenzie Freeman booted in the winning goal for LC-M while Lady Bear goalie Matalyn Hill helped earn the shutout with great goalkeeping play.

Going into halftime, the score was 1-0 and each team remained scoreless in the second half. Taking shots at goal for the Lady Cardinals were Mala Kuhn, Whitleigh Moreau, and Hannah Silveira. The Lady Cardinals will travel to Lumberton Tuesday night to take on the Lady Raiders at 7 p.m.
