Bear golfers dominate Jasper Tournament

JASPER – The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Boys Varsity golf team took part in the 12-team Jasper Bulldog Invitational at Rayburn Country Golf Club Monday morning and completely dominated the tournament.
The Bears, despite the wet and sloppy conditions on the course, ran away with the tournament shooting a team total of 321 and winning by 39 strokes over second place PN-G.
Junior Jack Burke is off to another hot start this year. Burke won the H-J Invitational to open the season and won Monday’s tourney with a very impressive one under 70 – his third consecutive Bulldog Invitational title. Fellow junior Wyatt Wozniak posted a solid round of 77 to take second place overall. Mason Sterling finished with an 85, Travis Love shot 89, and sophomore Tim Weaver posted a round of 90.
