Campaign 2020 is here. 

Campaign signs are appearing, individual Facebook posts are filled with comments and endorsements of local, state and federal candidates and the Orange County Republican Party is preparing for their 2nd Bi-Annual Republican Gala.

The guest speaker is no stranger to Orange County or its residents. Michael Berry was born in Orange, Texas and has been called the Czar of Talk Radio. He is a graduate of the University of Houston, the University of Texas Law School and the University of Nottingham. 

He served three terms as a City Councilman for the City of Houston and as an outspoken radio host, informs, entertains and on occasion, shocks his listeners on KTRH. 

Orange County looks forward to welcoming one of their own to headline our gala and our other speakers who will include Congressman Brian Babin.

While preparing for the upcoming gala, party members are busy readying the new County Headquarters located at 620 Strickland, directly behind CVS in Orange. 

Information about the candidates and campaign signs and our upcoming Gala will be available and citizens seeking information about the upcoming elections and activities are welcome to stop by and campaign volunteers are always welcome. 

The monthly meeting has been moved up to Tuesday, January 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the Strickland headquarters as the Candidate Town Hall will be held Tuesday, January 28 at 6 p.m. at Vidor Elementary located at 400 Old Hwy 90 East in Vidor. 

Our Town Halls provide an opportunity for citizens to meet their local candidates and ask questions. 

Texas Primary Voting begins on Tuesday, February 18 and ends on Friday, February 28. The hours are February 18 – 21: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, February 22: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Closed Sunday. Early voting continues on Monday, February 24 – Friday, February 28: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

• Orange Library, 220 5th Street, Orange
