Lady Cardinal drops tight one in Cleveland

CLEVELAND – The Bridge City Lady Cardinals traveled to Cleveland Tuesday night to take on the Lady Indians in soccer action.

Despite coming alive on offense for the first time this season, the Cards were unable to find the back of the net. Whitleigh Moreau led the team with shots on goal by tallying two, and Hannah Silveira added one.

Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Lawrence had another phenomenal night in the goal with 11 saves. A low shot off the right post midway through the first half put the Indians ahead of the Cardinals. The Lady Cards lost 1-0, and dropped to 0-3 on the season. Friday the Cards travel to Barbers Hill to take on the Lady Eagles at 4 p.m.
