Mustangs get past Lumberton in OT

WEST ORANGE – The West Orange-Stark Mustangs won a nailbiter in a crucial District 22-4A encounter as they defeated the Lumberton Raider in overtime 51-44 at Mustang Gym Tuesday night.

The game was tied 35-35 going into the extra session and then the Mustangs (13-15, 2-3) outscored the Raiders (19-8, 2-3) 16-9 in the extra session.

Labarius Spraggins continues to have the hot hand for the Mustang offense as he led the way with 20 points.

Terry Harris and Jalon Ross tallied nine points apiece for the Mustangs while Shemar Manaway had six points and Darren Anderson five.

The Mustangs will visit Orange County rival Bridge City Friday.
