Lady Tigers pull away from Lady Bears for win

SILSBEE – The Silsbee Lady Tigers broke away from the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 55-46 District 22-4A victory at Tiger Gym Tuesday night.

The Lady Bears (12-10, 1-6) trailed 14-8 after the first quarter. They cut the Lady Tigers (15-9, 4-3) lead to 24-20 at the half and 36-34 entering the fourth period but Silsbee closed the game with a 19-12 run.

Chelsea Perry filled up the stat sheet for the Lady Bears as she poured in 17 points to go along with seven rebounds, four steals and four blocked shots.

Brittany Wyatt chimed in with 15 points and she added six rebounds to go along with three steals and two blocks.

The Lady Bears will look to bounce back Friday when they visit the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns.
