BRIDGE CITY – The Bridge City Cardinals battled hard but came up just short Friday night at Cardinal Gym as they fell to the Lumberton Raiders 54-47 in District 22-4A action.

Austin Richardson paced the Cardinals (10-16, 0-5) with 23 points but the Raiders were able to hang on and walk away with the win.

The Lady Cardinals (16-10, 2-4) were on the road to face the Lumberton Lady Raiders (18-9, 5-1) and fell 56-39.

The Cardinal boys and girls will have a bye on Tuesday. The Cardinals will return home Friday to host WO-S while the Lady Cardinals visit WO-S.
