NEDERLAND – The Bridge City Lady Cardinals traveled to Nederland Tuesday night to take on the Lady Bulldogs in non-district soccer action and dropped a defensive 3-0 decision.

Offensively the Lady Cards struggled, and were forced to play a defensive game the majority of the night. Despite giving up quick goals in the first half, the Cards’ defense held the Lady Bulldogs from the 24th minute of play until the 80th.

A tremendous effort from the Cardinal’s GK Kaitlyn Lawrence helped keep the team afloat on the soggy field as she held the very stout Bulldog offense to only three goals. The Lady Cardinals will be at home on Friday night, and will compete against the Liberty Lady Panthers at 6 p.m.
