WEST ORANGE – The West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs saw their seven-game winning streak come to a halt Tuesday night as they fell to District 22-4A favorite Hardin-Jefferson 78-36 at Mustang Gym.

The Lady Hawks (18-8, 5-0) outscored the Lady Mustangs (14-9, 3-2) 24-4 in the first quarter as they created a lot of WO-S turnovers into easy layups to take control early.

‘My biggest concern with my girls tonight was our effort, after all effort is free and at times it looked like they gave up,” said Mustang coach David Wilson.  “I have to do a better job preparing them mentally, physically and emotionally to handle the Big Dawgs in our district”.

B’Jne Arvie had nine points and eight rebounds for the Lady Mustangs. Marlandria Hebert notched eight points and six boards while Keshaunia Winbush also had nine points.

The Lady Mustangs will visit LC-M Friday night.
