Lady Mustangs top Lady Horns to win seventh straight

FANNETT – The West Orange-Stark Mustangs continue to make a mark in District 22-4A action as they took to the road Friday night and snared a 50-37 win over the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns to capture their seventh straight victory.
The Lady Mustangs (14-8, 3-1) received a tough battle from the Lady Horns (1-13, 0-5) but were able to pull away by outscoring H-F 22-12 in the second half, including 15-7 in the decisive fourth quarter.
B’Jne Arvie and Gabby Tims each notched double-doubles for the Lady Mustangs.
Arvie posted 14 points, and 13 rebounds while Tims filled up the stat sheet with 11 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Guard Keshaunia Winbush set up the offense well and finished with eight points and nine assists while post Malandria Hebert notched five points, eight rebounds and five steals.
The Lady Mustangs will play host to first-place Hardin-Jefferson at Mustang Gym Tuesday night.
